Bathroom Design Trends: The Home Spa

Bathroom Design Trends: The Home Spa

Exclusive Summary About Home Spa by Mihaela Lica and Susan Jan

Defining the Home Spa
Those who talk about spa today know little or nothing about the word's origin. We do not include in this category scientists, spa resort owners, hot tubs manufacturers, geography and history passionate learners or Belgian citizens. The ones who visit spa resorts seek tranquility in a healthy environment. So let's bring the spa resort home...

What is a home spa? Tips for Creating Your Own Spa Bath
Whether you plan to build a new bathroom, or just to remodel an existing one, plan a step ahead and create a modern, comforting
environment. "Modern" doesn't refer to a futuristic design. Many of the contemporary bathrooms are more practical than relaxing. Water, combined with other elements such as light, aroma and sound, is a perfect relaxer. For large rooms bathtubs are a must. The long, rectangular bathtub is out. Acrylic reinforced with fiberglass tubs are lighter and come in more complex styles than cast iron. There are also bathtubs designed to fit in small spaces. Built-in showers are a good choice for small rooms. Designer showers provide new relaxing means: therapeutic massages, rain-like feelings, or experiences similar to a steam room at a health club or spa.

Bathroom is not just about toilet, sink and a bathtub. Bathroom furniture, also known as bath vanity units, is the "magic touch" needed to create the perfect ambient. For larger budgets we recommend a product that conquers the market more and more today: the bathroom TV. The shower CD players are already there for those who plan their wellness spa on a budget.

With LEDs dominating the lighting industry there is a large selection of shapes and light and color controllable fixtures you can choose from.

An Effective Technique to Clean Your Whirlpool Tub

Technique to Clean Your Whirlpool Tub

Modern bathrooms are equipped with the most comfortable and most reliable bathing amenities. Home owners almost always make sure that their bathrooms are as cozy as ever so that total relaxation will be facilitated as they clean their bodies.

In the past, bathrooms comprised of showers and tubs. Now, there are more equipment that are being added to make the bathing experience more worthwhile and effective. The whirlpool tub is one of those amenities.

Why do homeowners install whirlpool tubs into their bathrooms? The answer is simple. They want to get a complete cleaning and relaxing experience at the same time while they are bathing.

However, no matter how helpful and cozy the fixture is, it isn't exempt from getting dirty. Here is a simple procedure that will facilitate an effective and convenient cleaning of the equipment.

1. Start with the whirlpool totally drained of any water. Turn off the jets to make sure no air induction is present.

2. Slowly fill the whirlpool tub with hot or lukewarm water. Make sure the water level reaches the top of the jets. As always, you shouldn't pump seats and jets without water because doing so would certainly damage that important part of the whirlpool tub. Warm water is better in cleansing smooth or even rough ceramic surfaces off with dirt.

3. When the whirlpool tub is almost filled with warm water, add about 4 ounces of any brand of household bleaching product. On top of that, add 2 full tablespoons of detergent powder to the warm water.

4. Operate the whirlpool and open the air control fully. Do so for 15 minutes. Doing so would help circulate the detergent solution so that the walls of the tub will be cleaned of any dirt and impurities.

5. Drain the warm water off. After that, refill the whirlpool tub this time with clean and cold tap water. Again, run or operate the jets for about 5 to 10 minutes additional.

6. After the above procedures, quickly drain the cold water. Notice the difference the action did to the surface of the ceramic whirlpool tub.

7. To complete the procedure, wipe dry the tubs surface with a clean and soft piece of cloth. Let it stand for a few hours before using again.

It is imperative to clean the whirlpool tub with the above procedure at least twice every month. That will definitely help prevent growth and accumulation of bacteria and other dirt across the surface of the whirlpool tub. There you have it. Now, you can use the whirlpool tub again anytime you like.
